Why bamboo?
Bamboo is just an amazing plant. It can grow really fast and in a variety of climates, it is actually one of the fastest growing plants in the world. Some species can even grow 120cm per day. This makes it a great replacement for other slow growing trees and therefore prevents deforestation.
It is also a very strong and resilient plant, so pesticides and fertilizers are not needed during its growth, which means no chemicals in the soil or in the water.
Bamboo is of course biodegradable, so once the useful life of your bamboo product ends, you can return it to the earth leaving almost no environmental impact.
