Why bamboo?
Bamboo is just an amazing plant. It can grow really fast and in a variety of climates, it is actually one of the fastest growing plants on earth. Some species can even grow 120cm per day. This makes it a great replacement for other slow growing trees and therefore prevents deforestation.
It is also a very strong and resilient plant, so pesticides and fertilizers are not needed during its growth, which means no harmful chemicals in the soil or water.
Bamboo is of course biodegradable, so once the useful life of your bamboo product ends, you can return it to the earth leaving almost no environmental impact.
